❣️ Truth About Me
🙏🏼 I have experienced both love and hate towards my body, often oscillating between narcissism and body shaming. Finding a balance and accept fully my physical envelop has not been easy, and it's still an everyday challenge I recently accepted to face showing only love, gratitude and care for myself.
🥰 What helped me was establishing a consistent self-care routine for my body every day, which played a role in different aspects. This allowed me to rebuild a strong mind-body connection.
😎 Incorporating any kind of movement, such as walking, workouts, yoga, stretching, or dance, was helpful. Additionally, I found that self-care treats, such as self-massage, scrubs, hot and cold therapy, journaling, meditating, and nurturing healthy relationships, were important to reinforce this connection.
🤍 Body shaming and body dysmorphia are no joke, and unfortunately, many people struggle with these issues. It's a problem that can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or background, and it seems like it's getting worse all the time.
🌈 It's super important to remember that everyone is different, and that's a good thing! We don't have to all look the same, and we shouldn't let other people tell us what's beautiful or attractive. We're all worthy of love and respect, no matter what we look like.
💖 There are lots of things we can do to help create a more positive culture around body image. For example, we can try to be kinder to ourselves and focus on the things that make us unique and special.
🫶🏼 At the end of the day, what really matters is how we treat ourselves and others, and how we make people feel. Let's focus on being good to ourselves through self-care, self-love, introspection, and the rest will come.
Love, S ❤️
